welliver_jeannieJeannie Welliver, Project Manager for the renovations to the City of Richmond’s Main Street Station, will be providing a tour of the current construction progress.

Jeannie Welliver is a Richmond native. Jeannie graduated with an Architecture Degree from the University of Virginia.  She has studied Architecture and Urban Planning abroad at the University of London, the University of Bath and Prince Charles’ Huntington Center.

Following Architecture School, she continued her studies at the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and completed coursework at the McIntire Business Institute.

Jeannie has worked for the City of Richmond for 25 years managing design, construction and development of major projects including:

  • 1995 Restoration of the Mosque/Landmark Theater
  • Police Headquarters
  • 911 Emergency Command Center
  • Slave Trail
  • Reconciliation Statue
  • Lumpkin’s Jail Archaelogical Site
  • Plaza at Main St. Station
  • 17th Farmer’s Market redevelopment

In the early 1990’s, Jeannie and Vickey Badger, transportation planner for the City of Richmond, have led the development of the Main St. Station into a Multi Modal Transportation Center. The project is scheduled to open in 2017.

Fun Fact:

Jeannie has been working on Main St. Station almost half of her life and does not regret a single day of that commitment. It has been a dream come true.

This event is now sold out. We appreciate your interest and hope to see you out at another ASCE event soon!
