Topic: Virginia Capital Trail
Beth will be talking about the Virginia Capital Trail, a recently completed paved multi-use trail between Richmond and Williamsburg. This amenity promises to transform the region. She will discuss the trail, what the Foundation is doing to make it great, some of our successful projects in Richmond and Williamsburg, and most importantly, the Trail’s economic impact potential.
Beth has been the Exec. Director of the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation for over eight years. In this position she works closely with many stakeholders on issues relating to the development of the Trail. Prior to completion of the trail, she spent a lot of time advocating for the project with local and state officials, corporations, and individuals throughout the region, making sure it had the necessary support to be completed and enhanced to its fullest potential. Now, she turns her attention to enhancing, marketing and the continued development of the Virginia Capital Trail.
Prior to working for the Foundation, Beth worked as Manager of Hospital Development for LifeNet, a non-profit dedicated to increasing organ donation rates throughout Virginia.
Beth graduated from the University of Virginia, has two grown sons and lives with her husband in Richmond. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor adventures, near and far.
