Event Information
ASCE Richmond Branch is excited to announce our 1st Annual Sporting Clay Fundraiser! Our goal is to transform the event beyond just a fundraiser, into a chance for members of the greater Richmond area civil engineering community to spend a day together building and strengthening relationships with each other.
Money raised will go toward scholarships for engineering students attending Virginia based universities who are majoring in civil engineering.
Please join us at Old Forge Sporting Clays on April 21st. We will have check-in and breakfast starting at 9:00 AM with a safety brief at 9:45 AM and 1st Bird at 10:00 AM. Awards for teams and individuals will be presented during lunch.
Important Details
ASCE will select teams after signups conclude and will create teams of mixed skills to provide support for beginner shooters. If you’d like to be paired with any shooters in particular, please email Kohltan.Heiter@hdrinc.com and we will do our best to accommodate; however, we cannot guarantee, as creating teams of mixed skill to promote safety and even teams will take precedence.
Prior to taking part in the tournament, all participants will be required to attend the safety briefing and sign Old Forge Sporting Clay’s Liability Waiver (if first time at their range). Copies of the waiver will be provided during registration on the day of the event; however, it is provided here should you like to review prior.
Eye and Ear protection will be provided (you may bring your own if you wish). Gun Rentals and ammo will be provided. Should you wish to bring and use your own gun or ammo, please note the following:
- Ammo: 2 3/4 inch of 7/8, 1, or 1/18 oz of 7.5 to 9 target load only.
- Shotguns: must be able to hold 2 shells. If gun is capable of more than 2 shells, you may only load 2.
