VDOT has been widely recognized as a leader in the development and successful implementation of new technologies, techniques and materials for use in new and existing bridges. These technologies have been used to make our bridges more durable, safer, and less expensive to build. Adam will share information about some of VDOT’s recent and forthcoming innovations. The discussion will address the promise and potential presented by these technologies as well as some of their impediments to implementation.
