Presenter: John Schuler, PE, Assistant State Materials Engineer, VDOT Materials Division
John Schuler has been a member of ASCE since his undergraduate days at Lehigh University, where he obtained a BS in CE. He earned an MS in CE from the Univ of Alaska Fairbanks, where he met Dr. Leroy Hulsey, and an MA in Public Policy from George Mason Univ. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with almost 30 years of engineering experience in: the private sector (including self-employment), for 2 state DOTs, and the federal government. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve and retired after 20 years.
